Making sure you are constantly growing and achieving your goals means that you have to always be learning and giving yourself the tools for success. There are many great ways to do this but podcasts is one of my absolute favorites. It’s free, easy to use, versatile, and tons of high quality content that has changed my life. Here are 7 inspiring podcasts to listen to and improve your quality of life:
Lewis Howes has built a truly amazing business around his passion to serve and help others achieve their goals. Success just oozes out of him. It doesn’t take long listening to his podcast to know that he truly is trying to help and encourage others by giving them the tools they need to succeed. Topics range from fitness and health, money and business tips, to emotional, mental, and even spiritual growth. This is my absolute favorite podcast and he has millions of listeners that think the same. There is tons of content to listen to and I encourage you to pick and choose your favorite topics from the ~200+ episodes he has out there.
Have you ever had an amazing idea on how to change the world? You haven’t? Either way, this is a great podcast to listen to. James Carbary and Kenneth Ortiz interview awesome people with world-changing ideas. They show that anybody can change the world. The people they talk to have done some really cool things and one thing I’ve learned from this show is that it doesn’t take a lot to do some real good. You can be anybody and come from anywhere. Have you heard of Charles Stanley? Well this podcast consists of sermons and lessons by his son Andy Stanley as a part of North Point Church. Andy knows how to relate to people by keeping his words down to earth and easy to understand while still talking about some big subjects. His focus is often on our place in the world, how to deal with addictions, smart ways to handle money, and transitions in life. This podcast keeps me looking at how I need to be living a better life. I feel like it has kept me accountable in many ways without feeling shamed or judged. He is encouraging and motivating often giving practical steps on how to make better decisions with fewer regrets.
If you are thinking of becoming an entrepreneur and starting your own business, especially a home business, this show is for you. Pat Flynn has figured it out. How to make passive income, that is. He goes into the details on how to blog, write a book, sell something online, podcast, and many, many other things that come with being successful at home. He also talks about other details like the challenges of balancing work and family life. If you’re considering switching to an online business or want to work from home but aren’t quite sure how to go about that, try listening to a few episodes of this great podcast.
Chris has really changed my life. Hearing him talk about how he dealt with emotional abuse in his own life really gave me the motivation to deal with some issues in my own life. He talks a lot about business and life and says that “business isn’t who you are, it’s what you do”. Take some time to listen to his really personal focused advice and watch your life transform as you realize what you do and why you do it.
If you want analytical, Tim Ferriss can deliver. This man has made it his mission to be the best he can be and discover the science behind it at the same time. Tim is able to break down almost any skill and ability in order to learn and master it within a very short amount of time. Best-selling author, speaker, and lover of tea, Tim is the guy to listen to if you are wanting to become superhuman. Check out his show.
As I talked about earlier, filling your mind with useful knowledge important to growth and reaching your potential. Stuff you should know is anything and everything you wanted (and didn’t want) to know on anything you can imagine. With hundreds and hundreds of episodes each one focused on the specific topic, you can fill your day with learning just by listening. Often funny, Josh and Chuck are willing to talk about even the weird. Listen to this podcast. I don’t know how many times I’ve come up with some interesting fact or conversation starter just from listening to this show.
There are several other great podcasts that have had an amazing impact on my life but I’m trying to keep it simple. The onus is on us (lol) to grow and better ourselves so that we can better the world.
